I added back the important files we needed. ( This will be yet another PR in the future since the new site has different files now ) I have no idea when 2.009 will come out so this will due for now but make it easier to just add to this when need be.

One of the biggest questions that has always been asked is what is our Credit System.
As many of you know Credits are 100% exclusive to 2009scape. But what are credits you ask?
Credits are the 2009scape's currency for rare items. Is it like a donator shop? With it's own
custom interface you won't be mistaken that it has anything to do with any custom private server.
Credits are our way of saying thank you for doing something. I'm going to go over all the different
methods of earning credits.

<b><u>Voting</u></b>
<p> Everyone who has been actively a part of discord understands that this may be by far the easiest way to earn
a credit. All you need to do in order to get a credit is vote on Rune locus. You may ask yourself the question
why do we want you to vote? how does this help us? The higher we get on the list the more exposure we may get to
get more players in return this helps contribute to building the server. Every so often our discord bot will post
the link to vote but if it hasn't and you'd like the link just use the command ::vote inside of discord.
Once you've voted, take a screenshot of your page, and then post inside of the #claim-to-fame section of Discord.

After you have voted you will receive a total of one credit every 12 hours so this method could easily earn you an average
of 60 credits a month. In March of 2021 we have introduced a new system called our voting streak system which if a player
has voted for seven consecutive days you will recieve five credits for your first vote on your seventh day. Once you've
earned the streak it starts over at day one for you to get it again the following week by voting all week again. Keep in
mind for the voting streak you only need to vote once a day. We are based off of California time for how I'm reporting days.
This might mean for people over seas that your end of the day will not be California's end of the day therefore you will
still have a bit more time for you to vote. If you miss a day of voting your voting streak will be reset and you will need
to vote seven days in a row all over again.

<b><u> Hall of Fame </u></b>
<p> Ah yes, we have made it to the pride and joy of a game where our accomplishments are not only rewarded by a fantastic skill cape
or bragging rates but also can claim your right to the first to a 99 in a skill and get credits and recognition on our website for
their achievements. It is determined by different different experience rates and ironman modes to determine how many credits someone
may get.

These Hall of fame rewards were completely rewritten to fit the amount of effort one puts into their account.

<b><u> JSON Contributions </u></b>
<p>
If you know we are known as the Open Source project. We once had an Open Source Live server but people would non stop
exploit the game by reading the code making it so we now needed to close source the live. This does not mean that
our drop tables and spawns are not able to be seen or worked on. If you work on spawn rates, drop lists, or item spawns
you will be rewarded with 10 credits per 100 changed lines. In order to do this you will need to go into
the source on our github and find the configs under the Data folder. You will correct what you need to correct and then
create a PR for your fixes. These may take sometime to enter live so please have patience. By working on these you are helping
improve the game by getting it closer to authenticity of 2009 and you are saving developers time for adding content in the game.

<b><u> Quest Dialogue </u></b>

Similar to the JSON contributions this is the next way you can help without needing to know how to program. There are several
youtubers who have videos from 2008-2009 where you can see the dialogue word for word through their chat options. This is the
number on preferred way since it keeps it the most accurate to 2009. You can use OSRS as a reference but please be careful doing
this incase OSRS has changed something and didn't document it well. By doing this you are speeding up the developer's time by
getting all the dialogue together and will be rewarded with 10 credits.

<b><u> Events </u></b>
<p>
In 2009 a lot of us played the game because it was a fun game that we could come home to and play with our friends. The game had just
as much a social aspect as it did a grind aspect.
<br>
Official Server events that are hosted by <b style="color:red">Our Community Manager</b>, <b style="color: darkgreen">Kermit</b>,
will come with a reward of credits as well. If you attend one of the server events you will get 5 credits for participation to be motivation
to set the grind aside to come have some fun.
<br>
Player Hosted Offical Events : Can vary from house parties, to bossing events, etc. To bring more people together instead of being
a constant player 1 skills on this side of the map and player 2 skills on that side of the map we want to encourage you to create your own events.
Do note to take these serious because all events will be filtered/needing approval from our <b style="color:red"> Community Manager</b>.
It is five credits per player for attending said events and it is 2 credits per person that shows up for the person hosting the event on top of
your participation. Player hosted will be announced offically once but it's up to the player to fully plan out the event.

Ceikry other otherwise known as Celery is the lead developer of 2009scape. Some may say he has a temper or is overly blunt. Despite
these opinions he cares deeply for this project and so much so that he spent 10 hour days for majority of days in 2020. He has made the
most contributions out of everyone on the server so make sure you tell him how much you appreciate his work!

is you pinging him and he'll come with a smile on his face. Sometimes known as the nicest developer on our team he is sometimes
being too nice.

The behind the scenes guy that makes the show happen. Woah is our Host of 2009scape, many people do not realize that one of our own member's hosts this
out of the kindenss of his heart. He has also put a ton of work into the project. While you won't find him in discord you can find him ingame with his super
friendly self. Stop by and say hi to him it'll make his day!

<br> One of the newest developers to the team. Kermit worked his way from a tadpole to a King frog inside of our server. He is acting
Community manager as of January 2021. He will be hosting every single official event and helping decide what our server's holidays will look
like. Super friendly but also very protective over our pond and isn't afraid to say something. Also check out the bots he has made for our server
and the funny things they say.

The Website developer who is control of all the new's pages, in charge of keeping track of voting streaks and hall of fames. Summer, is the
passionate staff member that makes sure everyone is aware of her existance while joining the server. Very quick to defend the rules and sometimes
can come off as a tad mean as well. Overall Summer cares very deeply about the project and what the future has to bring.

Meet <img src="../Images/zanik.png" width="20" height="20"> <b style="color:goldenrod">Zanik</b>, our newest discord bot written by <b style="color:darkred">Ceikry</b> in Rust.
The bot isn't to replace the 2009scape bot but to add even more functionality to the discord! With <img src="../Images/zanik.png" width="20" height="20"> <b style="color:goldenrod">Zanik</b>, you
are able to use a few commands that will liven up your experience with discord and more will be added in time.

<b>Normal Discord member commands</b>
<ul>
<li> *level : Allows you to check your level in discord of your discord account. The levels are gained from just having conversation and <img src="../Images/zanik.png" width="20" height="20"> <b style="color:goldenrod">Zanik</b> will keep track of your message total! </li>
<li> *top : Will show you the top 10 people who have left messages within the discord.</li>
<li> *2.009: Will allow you to keep track/updated with how the 2.009 server is progressing.</li>
<li> *wiki name : Will bring up the page for the specific thing but in 2009. Example: *wiki potato , will bring up the 2009 page on RS Wiki for Potato.</li>

<b>Admin commands</b>
<ul>
<li>*clear # : clears however messages you have specified.</li>
<li>*exit : exits out of the bot to let it update.</li>
<li>*poll subject text here :: emoji1 option1, emoji 2 option2 - Runs a poll with two different emojis and options </li>
<li>*endpoll message_id: edits the given meesage to say end of poll.</li>
</ul>

<p style="font-size: 13px;"> The dragon scimmy is a level 60 attack weapon forged by the great Apes of Atoll!
The weapon usually requires the completion of Monkey Madness; however, in 2009sacpe since
it's not implemented yet you will only be required to have a magic level of 64 to use the ape atoll teleport.
You could have a buddy of yours teleport for you if you do not have the required level. This will be
changed once the quest is implemented.

<p> In the month of February there was a huge update called "Collide of the Worlds" which added a brand new world.

Finally, you have made it to the right page. I really do hope that you didn't screw up your account before reading this since we have a few things
you can't do after a certain level which you will read about soon! 2009scape is the remake that no one knew they wanted but secretly needed.
If you are stumbling around and no longer want to read and want to get right to the content lets just say make sure to read the rules and have fun!

<p> Many players come in the game not knowing what to expect of how they can play the game. The nostalgic excitement can cause one to spam click buttons in the beginning causing you to miss the important starting message</p>
<p> Once you leave the basement where you firs start run over to Hans standing in Lumbridge Castle's courtyard. Once you talk to him it will pull up the dialogue </p>
<p> First click on the "More options option" </p>
<p> And then you will see a list of options.</p>

<p><b> Changing xp rates </b></p>
<p> <b>World 1 is the authentic x1 xp rate and this will never change so changing the xp is world 2 exclusive.</b></p>
<p> In 2009scape, we have a base rate xp as x5xp. This rate obviously can be changed using this option. <p>
<ul>
<li> x2.5xp Rate ( For those players who want the grind with some ease ) </li>
<li> x5xp Rate ( Stated before as being the base xp rate ) </li>
<li> x10xp Rate ( For those who want to have more fun than to grind out skills ) </li>
<li> x20xp Rate ( The newest xp rate that came with the Collide of the Worlds update.)</li>
</ul>

<b> You can only change your xp rate once and you are able to only change it before reaching a total level of 50. </b>
<br />
<p><b> Changing Ironman Modes </b></p>
<p> There are a select few who have come from Reddit and have not played the actual game in over a decade. So, I will go into detail with each mode. </p>
<ul>
<li> Ironman/IronWoman Mode </li>
<p><b>This works on both world 1 & world 2!</b></p>
<p> This account mode is the basic of the three account types. Ironman/IronWoman are unable to trade any other player so they are completely self efficient. They also can not use lootshare
whatsoever which means they are still stuck collecting everything on their own. </p>
<li> Hardcore Ironman/IronWoman Mode </li>
<p> Following the restrictions of regular Ironman/IronWoman mode the only restriction these players have is they are restricted to one life. Unlike Regular Runescape the account mode
will only go back down to regular Ironman/IronWoman instead of deleting your account. </p>
<li> Ultimate Ironman/IronWoman </li>
<p> Like regular Ironman/IronWoman mode, the only other difference is ultimate Ironmen/IronWomen can not bank items. However, they can note items on bank booths and unnote the items. </p>

<p> In Runescape there were plenty of different ways to make money and I know it's a tad difficult hopping into the time machine and coming back to this era forgetting how in the worlds people made money.
Not to worry we have you covered with some basic money making methods that may later have full guides but for now a little glimpse into what 2009scape has to offer.

<p><b> Jobs </b> </p>

<p ALIGN="left"> In the year of 2009, Runescape had a job system to help newer players get used to the skill system. You came right out the tutorial Learning the ropes, just to realize that you had 25gp to your name
with just a few starter tools to get you started. Most of the tutors inside of Lumbridge are trying to get you to work for them but I know right away that can be intimidating.
If I were you, I would head straight to the woodcutting tutors and get your first job. While you are level one woodcutting you will most likely have to cut
around 20 regular logs and give you around 5-6k.

<p> <b> Pyramid Plunder </b></p>
<p> This sneaky thieving mini game can end up getting you a pretty penny when first starting. As it only requires 30 thieving to get started!
There are plenty of rewards to get form the mini game one being pharaoh's sceptre.

<p> You will need a way to make sure you don't die of the desert heat and a minimum of 30 agility to get started.
The pyramid is straight-forward and when you bring Simon the pyramid top he will give you 10k each.

<p> <b> Stronghold of Security </b></p>
<p> Make your way over to the stronghold of security underneath the Barbarian village. Make your way through the mazes answering the player safety questions
Once you have made it through the maze there is a free 10k and some colorful/fighting boots with your name on it </p>

<p> One of the biggest obstacles of Runescape in 2009, was attempting to go over the white wolf mountain or you could
walk all the way to edgeville pull the wilderness lever, pull it again and end up in Ardy. Tree gnome stronghold is not
implemented in the game yet so we consider the glider free game for those who want to use it. You have several locations
you can teleport to right away.

<p><b> Spirit Trees </b></p>
<p> Just like the Gnome Gliders, the Spirit Trees are unlocked as of right now because Tree gnome village quest is not
implemented yet! </p>

<p><b> Canoes </b></p>
<p> The travel method a lot of people forget about are the canoes! They do;however,require different woodcutting levels

<p><b> Fairy Rings </b></p>
<p> I won't be going into super detail of where the fairy rings teleport you to, but I will say that
in 2009scape due to Fairy tale quest not being added, the fairy rings are locked behind only the lost city quest.

<p><b> Quests </b> </p>
<p> One major thing that most people on the server forget when starting the server is that quests exist in the game.
While most rsps do not really have quests this is a remake of the year 2009 so the plan is to add all the quests eventually
in the game. As pointed out earlier on this page is that when a quest is not implemented you can use some of the travel methods
without needing to complete the quest. You can find all the quests inside the website under quest help.
The quest cape works as well. Once a new quest is added you will no longer be able to wear the cape until that quest is completed.

<p> <b> Diaries </b></p>
<p> Recently we had an update that added the Diaries to the game! There is now certain content locked
behind these achievements. With methods of fast traveling completing the Lumbridge/Draynor diaries can land you an explorer
ring which teleports you to the farming patches! There are plenty of other perks of completing the diaries! So click the little
green star in your quests tab to check them out! </p>

<p> To get started make your way to Varrock's Castle and speak with King Roald.
when you get there you will ask if there are any quests you could go on.
He states that he will pay you to go check on his priest Drezel who has not contacted
him in a few days.
</p>
<p> Make your way over to the far west of past the gates of the west Varrock bank.
Head over to the chapel and click on "knock-on" option of the doors.
They will task you with killing the dog that guards tha basement a little north
from there. Take the trap door down and kill the dog. Once you have killed the dog
speak to them again and they will laugh saying to go talk to the king.

<p> Once you have made it back to the King he will basically call you dumb for killing
the dog and if you do not go back and find out what really happened to Drezel he will
have your head. To save some time this is when you head over to the kitchen of the castle
and climb upstairs to find a bucket in the room to the right. Grab the bucket and make
sure you are still wearing your armour. You make your way back to the church and instead
of knocking this time you bust down those doors! Head up stairs and then head up the ladder
to find Drezel in the jail cell. Select the "talk-to" option on the jail door. He will
tell you that you will need to go find the gold key in order to get the iron key back.
To find the gold key you will need to start killing the monks in order to get the drop.
</p>
<p> Once you have the key, make your way out of the church and back down into the dungeon where
you slain that poor puppy. Head to the room where all the statues surround the well.
Find the statue that has the iron key and click the gold key onto the statue to make the switch.
Once you have done that use your bucket on the well to get water.
</p>
<p> Now head back towards the church and head back up stairs twice again. Speak to Drezel and
he will take the key from you. The issue now is the vampire in the coffin is giving him the spooks,
so you will need to ensure his safety by pouring blessed water on him. Talk to Drezel so he
can bless your water for you. Use the blessed water on the coffin and return to Drezel.
Drezel will then tell you to meet him down in that basement again where you killed the dog.

<p> Now, the smart thing to do while you are already outside the church is to head towards the bank.
If you are an Ironman, you will want to have completed The Rune Mysteries quest in order to mine
rune essence yourself. Unless you have rune pouches or a pak yak you will need to make two trips for this.
Once you have your first set of runes, head over to the same place where you killed the dog. This time
you will go all the way to the west side and you will find Drezel through that door. He will say
that you can help him fix what he needs by bringing him 50 rune essence or pure essence.
So do your rounds of 25 and 25 make sure your last trip you have an inventory space free.
And after you turned into the runes the quest will be complete! Congrats on completion!

<p> When you pull up the launcher you notice that there are two play buttons. One for World 1 and one for World 2.
We've had our fair share of people come in either wanting completely authentic content or some inauthentic content.
For awhile with the votes on inauthentic stuff being added to 2009scape were pretty much 100% wanted. However,
in early January of 2021 we did a poll to see if players would like perks to be added to the skill capes. This was the
first poll where we started to see a lot of people not wanting this but a lot of people did want it. So the divide for
what was added was starting to become noticeable. The main thing about 2009scape was to recreate the version of the game
as it was in 2009.
</p>
<p> We ended up doing a poll to see if people wanted to have two separate worlds where players on World 1 would have all authentic
content with super minor QoL updates and a World 2 with the ability to add custom stuff to the server as long as it kept the 2009
charm of the game. As you can see it was polled and voted in to have two separate worlds.

Begin by talking to Pikkupstix in Taverly.

You hear a loud noise upstairs and ask if pikkupstix would like you to take care of it.
However, he informs you that you can't just easily battle this beast you must learn summoning to get help.
He goes into detail of what summoning is saying that you summon familars to help battle and do other tasks.
Go upstairs and once you go upstairs a giant wolpertinger is up there and your character has short dialogue showing fear.

You make it back downstairs to talk to pikkupstix on how to stop it. He will tell you that he needs wolf bones in order to fight it.
So now you head over to white wolf mountain if you're a summoning pure I would bring some food since wolves hit hard.
You make it over to a place where you find a "dead body" and you search it. You find two wolf bones.

Now head back over to pikkupstix and show him your wolf bones. He will give you the rest of material to make summoning pouches.
So now head downstairs and use the obelisk. Use your trapdoor key if you don't have one it should be on the ground near the trapdoor
and infuse pouch on obelisk. you need to make two spirit wolf pouches.

"Click on the other tab AND make sure only click for one scroll
otherwise you'll need to go kill wolves for bones to start over. Once you have the pouch and scrolls head back up stairs and talk to pikkupstix.
Once you go upstairs a cut scene will begin. You will then need to right click the pouch and click summon. Once you summon you'll need to use
the special ability in the summoning tab opened where your inventory one was on the wolpertinger twice. It'll be defeated and now head downstairs
to talk to pikkupstrix again. Now go down the trap door and right click the obelisk and renew your summoning points.
Head back up stairs and talk to pikkupstrix. Once you've done this the quest is complete. </p>
