Since most Americans don't know much about Norway, I thought I'd post a fact forum so you could get a little idea of what Norway is like. Feel free to post any facts about Norway you wish (following forum rules, ofcourse)

Fact #1: Did you know there are more Norwegian-Americans than Norwegians?

Fact #2: Did you know the Norwegian Fjords are actually salt water rivers?

Fact #3
We have American football in Norway.

Fact #5: Almost all teenagers in 9th grade hate "Nynorsk". (Atleast all in my class xD)

Fact #6: Our religion is Protestant Christianity.
Fact #7: currency: we use NOK. 1Dollar is about 5.73NOK as of January 2010.
Fact #8: We have 4 858 199 inhabitans as of January 2010.

Fact #5: The language battle - "spr�kstrid" - is a very touchy subject, and this thread has already fallen victim to it. "Hate", no less...

actually, i live in the US, and almost all -98%- of my heritage from my mother's father's side is from Norway.
