The Achievement Diary

Introduction

Completing a task for the Karamja Achievement Diary
The lands of RuneScape are varied and picturesque. Even the fetid swamps of Mort Myre and the blasted wastes of the Wilderness possess their special charms for those who care to look. Of course, the scenery isn't everything, and each land has its specialties: from the mines of Keldagrim to the plants and animals of Karamja. If you're a wee bit bored and fancy a few small challenges, you might like to check out your Achievement Diary to see what the people of those lands do to prove their proficiency in all things.

To find your Achievement Diary, click the small green star icon at the top of your side interface.

This will bring up a list of areas with tasks to be done. Like the quest list, a red entry indicates that you have not started any, yellow indicates that you have done some, and green shows that you have completed every task on the list.

Clicking on one of the areas will bring up a list of all the tasks you can do in that area.

A scroll containing vital information
To begin completing tasks in your Achievement Diary, talk to one of the NPCs named at the top of the scroll.

There are three categories of task: Easy, Medium and Hard.

Easy tasks might require some quests to be complete, but they will generally be low level quests. Almost any player should be capable of completing all of the easy tasks.

Medium tasks may require a few more quests, be in more dangerous locations, or require several of your skills to be advanced.

Hard tasks may not appear difficult on first glance, but they may require you to enter incredibly dangerous areas, to have completed Master Quests, or to survive through all the horrors an area can throw at you, just to eat a kebab...

Rewards

Each time you complete a set of tasks (easy, medium or hard), you will receive a message in your chat box congratulating you and reminding you who you should speak to in order to collect your reward.

Each area and level has a different reward, and the rewards will increase each level. Often, these rewards will allow you greater freedom in the area or provide you with new training areas restricted to those who have completed the tasks.

So, rather than picking another inventory of flax, perhaps you'd prefer to explore the delights of the fair world of RuneScape?

Note that the experience lamps you receive can be used on any skill, provided you have at least level 30 (for an easy reward lamp), level 40 (for a medium reward lamp) or level 50 (for a hard reward lamp).
