Mining - The Rune Essence Mine

Introduction

Those willing to unravel the Rune Mysteries will gain access to a valuable mine, which allows miners the chance to stock up on a material which can later be turned into runes of incredible power by using the Runecrafting skill.

The Mine

Rune essence can only be mined from one location � the rune essence mine. The only way to access this is to be teleported to the mine by one of the following characters:

NPC	Location
Wizard Sedridor	The lower level of the Wizard's Tower, south of Draynor Village.
Aubury	The Magic shop in Varrock, south of the east bank.
Wizard Cromperty	East Ardougne, north-east of the market place.
Wizard Distentor	The Magic Guild in Yanille.
Brimstail the gnome	A cave in the Tree Gnome Stronghold. Head north-west in the Stronghold until you see a small bridge on the west side. Brimstail's cave is inside a large hollow rock to the east of the bridge.

The Rune Essence Mine

All of the NPCs above teleport you to the same rune essence mine, but only if you have completed the Rune Mysteries quest.

As soon as you are teleported to the rune essence mine, head to a pillar of gray stone with magic swirling around it. Use a pickaxe on the rune essence and mine until your inventory is full.

Just as entering the mine can only be achieved by Magic, the only way to leave is through the use of a magical portal. When you are ready to leave, click on the nearest portal and you will be teleported back to the location from which you entered the mine.
