Description

After the UFE Starship Hammerhead failed to report on its mission, you were sent in to investigate. As you searched the now abandoned ship you discovered the festering presence of an alien spawn...and they're hostile!

Take up your standard issue auto gun and cleanse the Hammerhead, then descend to the surface of the planet Kerrus to wipe out the infestation at its source...with the help of a few more powerful weapons.

FAQs

1. How do I regain health?

When you advance a rank, some of your health is replenished and your maximum health increases. If you find yourself running low on health, there are health packs on some of the levels. Walking over a health pack will recover some of your character's health.

2. How does the rank system work?

As you earn points, a thin yellow gauge below your rank fills up. When it is full, you advance to the next rank (and get a health boost) and the gauge empties again. Over time this gauge will decrease, so it's in your best interests to keep advancing and killing aliens.

3. What is Hard mode and where do I access it?

Both the 'Kerrus' and 'Vengeance' sets of levels have a hard mode which is unlocked after you have completed them on the default difficult.

In Hard mode on 'Kerrus', you have to complete the planet-based levels (levels 4-10) within a strict time limit, that being double whatever each level's par time is. In Hard mode on 'Vengeance' (levels 5-10), the same difficult time limit applies.

4. Which weapons am I using?

The weapon currently assigned to the left mouse button is displayed in the top left corner of the screen, and the weapon currently assigned to the right mouse button is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. The number in each icon is the amount of ammunition you have for that weapon.

You can pick up all weapons that you find by simply walking over to them. For each new weapon an icon will be added to the list displayed at the top of the screen. A simple way to equip a different weapon for use is to click the icon with the mouse button you would like to assign the weapon to.

5. Why does ammo decrease for one of my weapons when I'm using the other?

Certain weapons share an ammunition type. The auto gun and C.R.A.G. use the same type of projectile ammunition. The plasma cannon and railgun both use energy cells as their source of ammunition. However, each weapon uses differing amounts of ammunition per shot.

6. I can't get used to the controls!

There are two control methods in the game. The first method moves the marine in relation to the screen; the second method moves the marine in relation to the mouse cursor. These two methods can be switched between with the 'TAB' key. Try out both to see which suits your play style best. Also, you can choose between using either the WASD keys or your keyboard's arrow keys for movement.
