I have played RS2 for years.(7) to be exact and i have been trying to play classic. i love it but only problem is it lags so so much. i click and then it freezes from lagg for 10 seconds then lets me do something then will repeat/ i made sure i only had the game running and my computer plays rs2 great. my software is up to date. help please?

Did you try clearing the cache on your Java...?

That helped me a lot on my dinosaur puter. It may help you as well. I also DELETED the older version of Java from the Add/Remove Programs...and the Java Certificate from the Console, along with the J2SE from Add/Remove Programs.

Made my old puter run RuneScape much easier.

Oh, and this may sound stupid, but if you click to fast, your avatar sprite will stop moving until a "clear" click is registered....just so you are aware.
