It's been given a fresh set of updates, been host to a massive Triumvirate war and it's a great number of clans and groups have enjoyed challenging each other. Surely it's time for a well deserved rest for the activity? Of course not! The Community Management team are proud to present the Castle Wars Kill Streak competition! This competition will highlight the best warriors of RuneScape, those whose awesomeness leaves a trail of defeated foes in their wake. The competition will run from Saturday 12th June at 00:01 BST through to Sunday 13th at 23:59 BST and will be held on worlds 166 and 15. At the end of the competition we will look at which players have have the most kills without dying! Aside from bragging rights for being one of our best Castle Wars players, the player with the most kills will receive the following prizes: Exclusive framed and signed Castlewars artwork 12 Month RuneScape Membership Castle Wars is a members only feature so if you don't already have membership but have been considering getting it here is your opportunity! A: No, you must play on one of the selected Castle Wars worlds. These are worlds: 166 and 15. Q: Can I take part if I am free to play? A: Castle Wars is members only so you won't be able to access the arena if you are free to play. RuneScape membership is cheaper than most online games and can be bought in monthly amounts. If you've ever considered membership or want to try out the competition now is as good a time as any to give it a try! Q: I don't really know anything about Castle Wars. Is there a guide? A: You can find our Castle Wars guide here. Q: Doesn't this mean that only the highest level players can win this competition? A: Not at all! Although high levels will have stronger combat skills and gear there is a good chance they won't be in every game across every world for the entire weekend. You've still got a very good chance to shine if you take part. Q: Does it matter what team I join? A: Nope. You can be in as many random groups as you like. Q: Castle Wars is a group activity but this a competition for a single person. Isn't that defeating the purpose of Castle Wars? A: Although the prize will go to a single person you will find you have a much better chance of doing well by working with your team than charging forth on your own. Q: Is this competition based over multiple games, or just one game? If I play 3 games without dying, scoring 10 in each, is my score 30? A: Kill streaks are only counted per game. So, if you play 3 games without dying, killing 10 in each, your highest kill streak would be 10. |

so is this never before seen artwork? or is this artwork the same as that walpaper in the downloads section?

Kill Kingx - Nope, it's not the wallpaper in the Downloads section - it's some internal concept artwork from the creation of the update. As far as I'm aware this hasn't been released elsewhere - I'll do my best to get you a definite answer on that.
