My issue is with the assist system and it is simple.

Helping (assisting) many people get money via double nature runes = Satisfying.

Helping 1-2 people get their effigies used = Not so satisfying.

I am not in control of how my 30k per day is used when someone chooses to use an effigy instead of crafting runes.

All I wish for the assist system is a simple on/off button for effigies.

Well, i'm not sure about the on/off button for a specific way of assisting, maybe there can be a button to be able to turn off/on xp for assisting in general, one that can be easially accessed when assisting.

well that's kind of a loaded statement. you are in fact in control of how you use your 30k/24hr assist limit because you have the option to agree or refuse assistance.

i understand what you're saying. when people ask for rc assist, and they imply using the assistance for one thing, while using up your assistance exp limit for another action is underhanded, but it is you who chooses to assist that person.

so the best way to avoid that type of scenario is just to assist persons you're familiar with assisting.

the assist system was never implemented to be a form of contractual obligation, it's just there to help people who need help for whatever reason.

Trivyus makes a good point that it is my choice to assist someone, thus I am in control of how my xp is used. Unfortunately my problem is that I often want to help strangers make double nature runes, and there is no way to tell 100% that someone is not carrying an effigy. All that I am asking for is a little help from the guys upstairs so that I can continue helping people in the way that I have always done.

Assist system needs other work as well.
You cant turn certain assist on and off without linking to another player. Its easy enough to get a friend to help but why not just let us open the interface.

WE also don't know what time we have left till we can assist again would be nice to be able to see this timer without being assisted.

I support you concern about effigy. Trying to help others get nats and having that get spoiled by an effigy holder is less than fair.

That's a good plan I will try it sometime.
