This isn't a rant so much about runescape's setup as it is about my own shortcomings as a player and as an organized person in general.

I basically live on the search option (Jagex: THANK YOU for this!!!) Why? Because there is absolutely no way I would get anything done without it. I'm lucky to have less than 400 spots taken up in my bank when I do, and it's so hard to wade through half of it! Sure, I have tabs, I even try to have them organized, but with steel bars in the herblore tab, and weapons in the miscellanious tab, cats in the fish tab... (ever wonder why you have less food than you thought, and just why your cat is so overgrown?) Well, you can see how it gets out of hand.

I take time to clean out my bank every so often, but after a few slayer tasks, I mindlessly use the "bank all" option several times a day. All of the junk I bought to appease clue scroll requirements, the fifteen no-longer-necessary quest items I've acquired last week, and those ashes I accidentally clicked on and picked up while going TO the bank, all wind up in some random place taking up more space. But my whip and all my armor? Gotta scroll down a page or so for that.

No surprise, here. This is how my real life is, too. (Even in my classes about a year ago, Koine Greek in the Hermeneutics folder, Theology paper in the apologetics notebook, and laundry in the desk drawer!) What can I say? I'm ADD. I don't even realize what I do half the time because I'm already onto the next task!

Even still, I wish there was a bank auto-organizer. Something to identify herbs vs weapons vs whatever else, and sort it for you. Possible quest idea, anyone? Something involving OCD bank bandits? lol.

Now my boyfriend... He IS OCD. Let me tell you, his bank is immaculate. Don't know how he does it!

Even with bank tabs and search feature, I still keep at least 2 of every item possible

Camini - there you go. That's what my boyfriend does, too. I'm considering it to some extent, it really IS helpful since you can withdrawal an item without causing it to lose its space and wind up in some other random tab when you put it back.

The problem is, I have to organize the whole mess first, before I can even begin to work out what I need two of! lol.

LOL, that would almost work -- BUT How much less often would we sell our junk to GE and maybe make a few coins more than expected (You know, one man's trash...) because we could conveniently trash from the bank? Or, what if we unknowingly selected it by mistake?

Not to mention, imagine the pile of junk that would be sitting in front of banks all of the time, that we'd all accidentally pick up.

... Oh, wait. There's that problem regardless.
