Today we live in a society that doesn't appreciate true music qualities. A song doesn't need to be good, it has to be SOLD, commercial. It's all about sound effects, computed music, "fat beats", appeling; singers. Look at such rediculous clowns like Justin bieber! What have we done to music?

ROCK ON FOR EVER!

if you think justin bieber or meny other musicins like them is real music please get your ears and brain checked.

also auto tune dose not count as talent and just because you have the most views for your crappy music video.
i have seen how biebers fans react when some one hates him its allwese "OMG you are just hate him becuase he has a 200+mil viewed video and a crap load of girls" easys thing to troll over. justin is not even in the top selling artest of all time so they seem to like him because he has a very highyl viewed video. well 1/2 of the people disliked that video baby by justin and just look at a video by a real singer/band very few dislikes compared to likes.

in 2000 years if you are still alive then due to some medice that makes you live a very long time and ask some one if they know who justin bieber is they will say "who the **** is that?" if you ask them say led zepplin is they will replay "oh yes that classic rock band back from the 1970s".

point is there are some bands/singers that shall live for ever and some that mat seem like the biggest thing ever right now 10 years later BAM every has no idea who they are.

we need change!!!!! NOW!!! NOW IS THE TIME!

feel free to talk about any kind of music and share you opeinons here but please keep it along jagex`s rules:)

Agreed, that's why the Rock and metal scene is better.

I love metal and rock, I'm proud to say that my ears bleed when I hear pop and rap music. It's interesting how the metalheads call pop, "fake music" and the pop lossers call metal "fake music"

Most mainstream is like that. Like all thing do eventually they cross paths and get morphed. Sometimes for better sometimes for worse.

Well, metalheads can rejoice, they're some recent movements (i.e. the NWOTHM) that are helping bring metal back. We need oruselves another Metallica.

All music is terrible now, not just pop. I actually like older pop, especially with psychedelic music. But I attribute the new crap with MTV, music videos are so important to industry that if the people don't look good, they can't make a good video and thus can't make money, so they only sign good looking artists

But even metal has been getting some unneeded facelifts. When people in my school look for metal, they go for All Time Low and A Day to Remember. I mean, I can stand metalcore...if it actually has the -core! This takes hardcore punk, and replaces it with pop punk, making a concoction of the most unnecessary form of music ever. And thats not even touching what Brokencyde has come up with...

The current mainstream rock and metal (read as: post grunge and metalcore) are terribly unoriginal. Originality has gone down these days.

As I said, we need another Metallica, an original, and amazing band.

Instead of getting another Metallica, we're getting loads of Bon Jovi wannabes
