Hi all,

Welcome to my Clan Chat, I like to use it to chat to players about the game. It's usually quite busy so we have some rules to make it easier for people to chat. The rules are there to help keep the spam down while I am online. If the CC is quiet, then please, use these rules to your discretion:

● Follow all of the RuneScape rules!

● Please keep the chat friendly and respectful.

● Please check the recent news, Q&A posts and/or the Recent Game Update FAQ to see if there is an answer to your question before asking here. The CC is not a shortcut to information.

● Please don't ask for information on future updates. This isn't the place for spoilers, exclusive information or release dates. If you want to know about confirmed/unconfirmed future updates, look in the Future Updates forum as this is where Jagex release all official information.

● Please don't ask your question in the CC and to my private chat - use one or the other. I promise that I am not ignoring you, if I don't answer back in PM, look in the CC for a possible answer.

● If I take the time to answer your question, please actually listen to my answer. Likewise, if someone asks what you were going to ask, don't ask me again. No-one likes to repeat themselves!

● Trolls of any sort are not welcome in the CC.

● Please don't ask questions about non RuneScape games. I only work on RuneScape so wont be able to answer any questions about Arcanists, Zombie Dawn or any other JAGEX titles. Please go to the relevant forums for those games.

● Please do not spam. Spam includes:
- All pointless quickchat
- Advertising your CC, GE offers and trades
- Text spam like pointless symbols, numbers etc.

● There are some issues we cannot help you with in the CC. These include:

- If you have been hacked, lost a password and/or other account issues, please use the appropriate links on the homepage.

- If you have ban or ban appeal issues, please use the links on the homepage.

- If you think you have discovered a glitch or bug, please submit a Bug
Report via the link on the homepage.

-If you have a suggestion, please use the suggestion forum. The CC is usually too busy for me to listen to your suggestions properly. We do read them, honest!

- If you want information on Player Mods, Forum Mods or Jagex Mods (what they are, how to be one etc.), go and have a look at the appropriate articles in the Manual.

Concerning Ranks
● Do not ask to be ranked.

● Do not come to the CC or ask me questions for the sole purpose of getting a smiley face. This is a waste of everybody's time.

● Do not abuse, obsess over or generally pester the ranks.

● Do not fuss over ranks or people being ranked. It just brings more attention to them. It you do want to say congratulations, please wait until the chat is quiet again.

Ranks FAQ
As there has recently been some confusion about ranks, here is a small FAQ
about them:

Who are ranks and what do you actually do?

Ranks are there to keep the chat flowing smoothly and to kick disruptive
rule breakers. You can ask them for help should you need it. Ranks also play a part in Mark's Q&A sessions. If you want to ask Mark a question when the speech in chat is restricted, PM a rank and they will ask Mark on your behalf.

A Rank is not a badge of office, nor an achievement to boast about to your mates. They are simply a recognition given to upstanding members of the CC Community.

If the Jmod adds you, does that mean you're his mate?

Ranks are not Mark's friends. The Jmod's friend list is for professional
purposes only.

In addition, a smiley face in CC does not indicate a rank, a future rank or a friend of Mark. Smiley faces just mean Mark has added them to answer a question in PM, and they are likely to be removed againso he can talk to someone else

Can I haz rank pl0x??

Asking to be ranked is likely to result in you never getting one. However, if you're helpful and friendly in the CC it will be noticed and you may well be approached. Just have fun: that is what the CC is for!

Who decides who is ranked or not?

Ranks are chosen by Mark, and who gets what rank is entirely up to his
discretion. None of the other ranks have any influence on who is promoted etc.

Someone is breaking the rules and the ranks do nothing!! Should I report them too?

Regarding these clan rules, Please let ranks do their purpose. If a rulebreaker/spammer appears, just report (if appropriate), put them on your ignore list and then get on with what you were doing before they interrupted. This is to stop more 'Stop spammings!' being said then actual spam.

You should always report anyone who you feel is breaking game rules, never wait for someone else to do it.
