Slayer Items

Slayers of strykewyrms might be lucky enough to bag themselves a hexcrest or, even better, a staff of light. Any slayers who happen to own a Slayer helmet, a hexcrest and a focus sight can also combine them all into the pinnacle of head-situated Slayer attire, the full Slayer helmet.

* Adds 15% to any magic damage you cause while wielding the staff. The staff of light also classes as a Slayer staff, so can be used to cast the Magic Dart spell. Its special attack grants the wielder some serious protection from melee attacks for a short time. Finally, there is a 1/8 chance that any combat spell cast with this staff will not use up any runes.

Third Age Robes

Mages in the Third Age were generally more powerful than our modern counterparts, and the artificers that enchanted their robes were more skilled. Sadly, the thousands of years that have passed has left few of these robes behind. Very lucky adventurers, though, may discover an item while completing a Treasure Trail.

Fist of Guthix Robes

The Fist of Guthix has a number of useful items available as rewards, several of which are especially useful to mages. Each set has a special effect when all items are worn.

Druidic Magic Robes

While you are wearing druidic mage robes, your Bind, Snare and Entangle spells will be more effective. These robes degrade over time in the same way as Barrows equipment, but can be recharged by paying Reggie a small quantity of Fist of Guthix tokens.

Combat Robes

While you are wearing combat robes, there is a chance of the robes supplying any mind, chaos, death or blood runes when casting a combat spell. These robes degrade over time in the same way as Barrows equipment, but can be recharged by paying Reggie a small quantity of Fist of Guthix tokens.

Battle Robes (Members only)

While you are wearing battle robes, there is a good chance that the robes will pay for any mind, chaos, death or blood runes when casting a combat spell. These robes degrade over time in the same way as Barrows equipment, but can be recharged by paying Reggie a small quantity of Fist of Guthix tokens.

Zuriel's Robes

In the ancient days of RuneScape, several great warriors walked the land. With all of the bloodshed in the PvP worlds, their equipment is heeding the call and returning to the surface...

These items all come in one of two states - one with full requirements that will last an hour; the other with level 20 requirements that will last only fifteen minutes.

Zuriel's staff is capable of casting elemental attack spells as well as Ancient Magick spells, and adds 10% to any magic damage you cause while wielding the staff. In addition to this, it gives mages using Ancient Magicks access to a further branch of the spellbook. You can read about these extra spells here.

Sacred Clay Robes

Sacred clay armour is a remarkable construction, the secret of which is known only to the most highly ranked of the Stealing Creation mystics. In battle, it can be used to switch combat styles completely, not to mention the fact that it provides excellent combat bonuses, and will double the experience you earn in combat. The experience you earn will slowly degrade the sacred clay items, but it will be spread across all of them, so a full set will last as long as the sum of all of its parts, while two items will last twice as long as one.

To change the type of armour/weapon you are using, operate it in your worn inventory or right-click it in your inventory and select 'Transform'. All sacred clay armour/weapons you are wearing or wielding will instantly change to that point of the combat triangle, items in your inventory must be transformed individually. Read more about the variants here: Melee, Ranged.

When your armour or weapon has run out of 'bonus experience', it will retain its combat stats but will no longer provide the extra experience and cannot change form. You can have these items recharged by the mystics to restore them to their malleable, experience-granting state. You can check the percentage of experience remaining by right-clicking the item and selecting 'Count-charges'.

Dungeoneering Rewards

These items can be bought by taking dungeoneering tokens to the reward trader at Daemonheim.

The law and nature staves store up to 1000 law or nature runes. When casting spells that use these runes, there is a 1/10 chance that a rune will not be used.

The tome of frost acts as an infinite stock of water runes when carried in the offhand slot.

Gravite and chaotic staves start at 20% charge. A fully recharged gravite or chaotic staff will last 10 hours in combat before it breaks. Once these charges have been used up, the staff can be recharged, for a fee, by the rewards trader. To do so, right-click on him, and select 'Recharge' with the depleted staff in your inventory.
