First of all, I am here to write the following introduction so that many people who has doubt of who we are may be able to gain an understanding.


--------Who are we?
We are the community technical support team. We strive to provide realtime solutions to YOUR technical problems and thus enhancing your gameplay.

We provide common solutions to your technical problems. While we may not be hand picked by Jagex Team, we as a community often provide good insights to solve your problem.

We will provide quality solutions. We will strive to provide quality solutions to your problem with our knowledge and if we will constantly upgrade ourselves by reading unsolvable questions and researching answers.

--------Our Beliefs/Values
We believe that by providing knowledge to solutions they may learn another way to solve problems themselves, and in the future may help other players with their technical problems.

We believe that as a community basis we should help one another without asking for any sort of payment, incentives.

We believe that RuneScape needs a technical community team that can be depended on with providing quality solution in a timely fashion.

--------Why?
This will allow players to identify our team's post that it�s solutions can be depended on.

--------Who?
There will be strict requirements on what players will get this said icon. These players must be active in the Tech Support forum. They must give good advice to other players that actually pertain to their issue and is not some automated response.

The size of the group will be limited to minimum for quality.

--------Idea Description:
In-game and in forum we will have icon (a wrench) identifying us that we are in the Technical Team. In forum we will not have a colored background as due to it may mislead players.
Title will be given as �Technical Support�

Suggestion has been made to change this title to exclusively in forum - See "Current Solutions"

--------Privileges:
We will be able to post links without sensor.

--------Our Task:
We will be assisting players which posts in the Tech Support forum, or in game �T_S_Chat� chat in very timely fashion, thus lightening up JMod's load.

--------Our Promises:
We promise not to abuse the use of privileges. We are not wanting the icon just because it is �cool�, but more of a identification for us so that players can be confident that our posts can be depended on.

--------Current concerns:

" I have a couple concerns. Use of any kind of icon showing the difference between a regular member of the forums and a member of the Tech Brigade may lead some to think that Tech Brigade members are some new kind of Forum Mod- which isn't true. My other concern is that valid suggestions from other non-Tech Brigade forum users may go ignored simply because they don't have a Tech Bridge icon. In fact I've seen some less frequent Tech Support forum helpers who are quite knowledgeable and it would be unfair to exclude them. " - Pinguicula

"I do not like this idea because players are only going to join because they want the 'icon'. Then we will just end up with a huge messy list of players that are only in it for an icon. Then we face the issue of who to choose. We can't have every single Staff member adding players to the list. There would have to be a selected 2-4 Staff members who are active in Tech Support, know what their talking about and have the ability to tell players unfortunately they will not be added. "I know a lot of people that only want modship for the fame. Just think how many WBMs you see - this number will be increased with people wanting a wrench icon - they're simply in it for the status. " - Kodaxor

--------Current solutions:

We hope to ask for a Jagex Moderator to base on Ki-ra's list, update and add in valuable helpers. This updated list will be the people who will have an identification.

These people will be ones who will be able to be depend on, and that they will be be the ones who is not in this just for the rank, possesses knowledge, active both in forum and in game chat, and speak of mature language.



"I think most people that are regulars in a clan chat to do with techsupport will be providing valid answers, so I think it should really just stay as a forum icon, if there was one.


Perhaps it could be that you look normal in all forums except the TS, in which you have a wrench or red background or whatever." -Kodaxor
