Before I start, Item's Kept on Death is based on highest high alch values.

So..
Your about to go fight a boss, or do something dangerous.
Before you go of course you click to see "Item's Lost on Death" - There you see those 3 items you keep after you die. (4 if your using Protect Item)

It tells you which items you keep on death obviously.
And then those you don't.

Your risked wealth.
And your kept wealth.

But wait a second.
It says you keep your ( for example) ..

- Bandos Godsword ^Good
- Bandos Chestplate ^Good
- Skill Cape ^NO BAD! NOT GOOD!

But you LOSE your: 4 Super Restore, 10k Death Runes, 302 Nature Runes, Fire Staff, 15 Sharks, 101 Bones to Peaches Tab, Dragon Boots

Maybe it is me, but if I had a choice, I would probably pick my Dragon Boots over my Skill Cape.
Because if if I loved that Skill Cape that much I would just sell it (If I lost it) and buy about 5 time after selling my Dragon Boots.

* Whats the problem with that? *
The fact that you keep your Skill Cape that's only worth 99k, over your Dragon Boots which is worth roughly around 500k.

* So Jagex what is the solution I purpose for you? *
- Let us choose the 3 items we keep on death.

No, it doesn't mean everytime we equip an item it ask us if we would like to keep this item over this item?

Pretty simple.
It's up to the player.

If we actually care, we go to Item Kept on Death screen, and then theres a button which alllows us to edit what item we keep over which item.
We choose our 3 items and live happily.

AND there should be a 4th slot which asks IF you use Protect Item on Death, what you would like to keep for your 4th item.

Yes, there are some people who may not want to choose what they want to keep on death, so let them have that CHOOSE.
Just simply, like usually, Jagex's little auto-choose (However it works) chooses for them.
Just like usual.

SIMPLE :)

Also, sometimes we would like to keep our torso we worked 1 week for from B.A. over our dragon boots, or another items which we can just easily regain by buying it again.

_____

Now there is a topic that HypobaricCat brought up on Page 3 Post 1.
He/She said they don't like the idea of having to change their item kept on death everytime they changed their items (Equiped and UnEquipped).

So their is a SOLUTION to this.
We already concluded that if you don't want to choose the item you kept on the death, the usual system automatically picks for you the items you keep.

But what if you banked one item you choose to keep on death earlier?
So only then 2 of the 3 items that you choose are there either equpped or in your inventory.

Simply the system picks the item, for the 3rd slot, replacing the 3rd item you picked earlier.
Of course, until you decide to change it yourself :).

*So what are the Cons?*

A. Commonly, less risk. Especially in terms of PVP Bh+1 worlds, in which Chaotic PK'ers and others would have a safer passage to victory. (Chaotic weapons have low alch value)

B. Player feedback. Jagex has made many terrible updates: Climbing boots, to be one of them. Sure this update might help most of RS, but it'll also cause lots more ruckus that ATM Runescape does not need.

C. Huge change in economy: Do you know why the Barrows helms cost so much more than the other pieces? Not because of it's rarity from the chests, but because it's the piece lost on death. Now, it'll be easy to keep it on death, causing huge economy changes.
-Also, pkers can effectively use Dharoks and only risk 1 mill in BH+1, meaning players quit and bad player feedback.

(Thanks to Gameboylight (Clan Leader) - Page 10, Post 2 for pointing out these problems/CONS to me :) )

~ Suggested Ideas by Other Users/Players ~

Fred80170 - Page 2 Post 2:
"It could be as simple as drag an item to switch similar to how banking works. Then there would be a button, restore to default."

I ll Hunt u - (Posted idea on his thread to me):
"Maybe it might be hard to code a set up in which we choose what items we keep on death but perhaps if won't be too hard to change from alch values given higher priority to GE value given higher priority."

xXC*b**x - Page 5 Post 1:
"If that's too much to ask, how about letting us choose which item 'item protect' would save. That would be awesome."

IceFire X - Page 7 Post 9:
"Have the system's auto-choose ask if you would like the items prioritized by high alch value or by G.E value, like the risked/carried wealth areas show.

Lunula - Page 11 Post 5:
"but if it functioned the same way item-binding does in Dungeoneering, then they could definitely do it."

~ Frequently Asked Questions ~

QUESTION: "Hey! I had this idea before you, you idea stealier!"
ANSWER: If I did actually still your idea, I am terribly sorry, as I searched the forums to see if their was no suggestion regarding this before creating this thread.

QUESTION: "Why would I ever support such an idea? It would make the game easier than it is."
ANSWER: This wouldn't make the game easier than it is. We already keep 3 items, just let us choose which items to keep. Maybe I want to keep a torso over my dragon boots. And if you still think it makes the game easier, then keeping 3 items on death is a dumb idea, and you should keep no item on death.

QUESTION: "Why don't you put messages such as: '(Player name here) <-- Forum mod' or '(Player name here) <-- Famous Player' or other messages along these lines next to 'important' supporters of your thread on your supporters list?"
ANSWER: I don't put notes like this on the side of supporters' posts for a reason. The reason being; I believe that forum mods, famous players, friends, etc. are no better than anyone else and putting notes like this next to their name is uncalled for. Everyone who supports this thread encourages me and inspires me the same amount; tons. While I do put notes next to a name every 50 supporters, this is just to help me keep track of how many supporters I have. :)

QUESTION: "May I use part of your thread in my thread or can I recommend your thread in my thread for other people to check out?"
ANSWER: Of course you can, just ask permission first before you do so, thanks :)
