RSB Ladder Officials Forums .::<3A>|<7C>::. <br> <br>This forum was created because after repeated observations by Aurorashines and Ms Kornfreak it was found that the quality of reffing has been somewhat laxed and no real training has ever been set up for new people wanting to become refs. After careful thought and planning, they then decided that it would be a great ideal to set up a sort of training camp for refs. <br> <br>It expanded into a formal training system, so that new refs can receive the proper training they require and provide a more consistent service to the RSB community. So the result is this new ref forum where we have set up a mentoring program for new refs. Experienced refs will take new refs under their wings and show them how to do their duties in a manner that is the same as the next person. That way there is no conflict between decisions made one day versus the next just because there is a different ref. <br> <br>Being a ref is an honor and a responsibility. Those who accept this position are saying the job will be done right. <br> <br>Below are details that will help you to understand the different jobs and duties. If you just want to ref then fine but if you want to be a driving force for helping to constantly improve the ladders then look into becoming a mentor to help someone else. These individuals help to maintain a fair and prosperous community. No one is questioning the honor of the clans of the RSB - we only wish to help to make sure that the rules that not everyone is familiar with are followed. In many cases clans are on multiple ladders and even in those ladders may be on more than one League/Division. This can lead to confusion and accidental violations of various rules. <br> <br>Duties of a ref: <br> <br>1. Verify that the declaration has been properly posted by the declaring clan. <br>First start a declaration thread then post as follows using the template provided on the first page of the Ladder Thread: <br>Declaration thread <br>Their clan thread <br>Their opponents clan thread <br>The Ladder thread <br> <br>2. Make sure they have set and all have agreed on the date, time and various options for the war. <br> <br>3. Make sure that both clans have agreed and posted their ref choices. <br> <br>4. Make sure both clans have added both refs to their cc for access during the war and that they understand the following: <br> <br>A. No killing the ref <br>If a ref is killed on one team but not the other and it is due to a blatant act and not accidental and the other ref is not killed in that round then the team that killed the ref will forfeit the one round of the war. <br> <br>B. No kicking a ref from the cc <br>If you the ref is kicked then the clan must either reset the cc or set up a new cc for the war. If the ref is not allowed back into the cc before the war begins the clan will forfeit each round of the war that the ref is not able to enter the cc. <br> <br>5. Verify both clans members lists were posted in the proper time line of 24 hours prior to the war unless otherwise agreed. Note no edits of a members list are allowed if a change must be made they are required to re post the entire list as a new post. This has to be prior to the 24 hour time line

6. Check both clans<6E> members<72> lists for people listed in multiple clans. <br> <br>THIS IS DONE BY THE OPPOSING CLAN <br>REFS ONLY VERIFY THE INFORMATION IF ANY ARE FOUND <br> <br>Multiple clans are defined as warring clans that participate in clan wars. <br>Soul Wars, Castle wars and other such mini game groups do not count. <br>Using runehead for this is the current approved method of the RSB. <br> <br>7. A ref is required to take pictures of both clans cc during the matches in order to use later to verify the members in attendance are listed on the members lists posted. <br>Take pictures of any flaming that takes place and or violations of the gear requirements for the leagues that have gear restrictions. <br>Please remember clan spamming gl so and so or so and so ftw is allowed. <br>Flaming is defined as being mean words another person and trying to hurt their feelings or bad language. <br> <br>8. After the war the ref is to verify the member<65>s lists with the people in attendance to the war. <br>If anyone shows to have been at the war not listed then this should be brought to the attention of the RSB thread holders who will then based on the number and the type of violation will rule on the issue. <br> <br>9. Monitor clans for flaming. Remember friendly banter is one thing and is not a flame. If they become to insulting or taunting then that is when flaming is an issue. Take snapshots of any flaming and if in doubt ask a mentor ref or one of the senior/Lead/council members. <br> <br>10. If war is all clear and does not have any violations then using the template post as follows: <br> <br>Post on the declaration thread and the RSB ladder thread the results of the war including the number of rounds and participants. <br> <br>Good luck to you all and thank you for volunteering your time to be a ref on this ladder.
