9d14adb9f6 [llvm] Rename StringRef _lower() method calls to _insensitive()
This is a mechanical change. This actually also renames the
similarly named methods in the SmallString class, however these
methods don't seem to be used outside of the llvm subproject, so
this doesn't break building of the rest of the monorepo.

a307928fe5 [ADT] Add StringRef consume_front_lower and consume_back_lower
These serve as a convenient combination of consume_front/back and
startswith_lower/endswith_lower, consistent with other existing
case insensitive methods named <operation>_lower.

3f31f63125 [llvm-dlltool] Imply the target arch from a tool triple prefix
Also use the default LLVM target as default for dlltool. This
matches how GNU dlltool behaves; it is compiled with one default
target, which is used if no option is provided.

Extend the anonymous namespace in the implementation file instead
of using static functions.

Based on a patch by Mateusz Mikuła.

The effect of the default LLVM target, if neither the -m option
nor a tool triple prefix is provided, isn't tested, as we can't
make assumptions about what it is set to.

(We could make the default be forced to one of the four supported
architectures if the default triple is another arch, and then just
test that llvm-dlltool without an -m option is able to produce an
import library, without checking the actual architecture though.)

82b6e6053d llvmbuildectomy - replace llvm-build by plain cmake
No longer rely on an external tool to build the llvm component layout.

Instead, leverage the existing `add_llvm_componentlibrary` cmake function and
introduce `add_llvm_component_group` to accurately describe component behavior.

These function store extra properties in the created targets. These properties
are processed once all components are defined to resolve library dependencies
and produce the header expected by llvm-config.

87d13166c7 Make llvm::StringRef to std::string conversions explicit.
This is how it should've been and brings it more in line with
std::string_view. There should be no functional change here.

This is mostly mechanical from a custom clang-tidy check, with a lot of
manual fixups. It uncovers a lot of minor inefficiencies.

This doesn't actually modify StringRef yet, I'll do that in a follow-up.

28bf7f3536 [cmake] Explicitly mark libraries defined in lib/ as "Component Libraries"
Summary:
Most libraries are defined in the lib/ directory but there are also a
few libraries defined in tools/ e.g. libLLVM, libLTO. I'm defining
"Component Libraries" as libraries defined in lib/ that may be included in
libLLVM.so. Explicitly marking the libraries in lib/ as component
libraries allows us to remove some fragile checks that attempt to
differentiate between lib/ libraries and tools/ libraires:

1. In tools/llvm-shlib, because
llvm_map_components_to_libnames(LIB_NAMES "all") returned a list of
all libraries defined in the whole project, there was custom code
needed to filter out libraries defined in tools/, none of which should
be included in libLLVM.so. This code assumed that any library
defined as static was from lib/ and everything else should be
excluded.

With this change, llvm_map_components_to_libnames(LIB_NAMES, "all")
only returns libraries that have been added to the LLVM_COMPONENT_LIBS
global cmake property, so this custom filtering logic can be removed.
Doing this also fixes the build with BUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON
and LLVM_BUILD_LLVM_DYLIB=ON.

2. There was some code in llvm_add_library that assumed that
libraries defined in lib/ would not have LLVM_LINK_COMPONENTS or
ARG_LINK_COMPONENTS set. This is only true because libraries
defined lib lib/ use LLVMBuild.txt and don't set these values.
This code has been fixed now to check if the library has been
explicitly marked as a component library, which should now make it
easier to remove LLVMBuild at some point in the future.

I have tested this patch on Windows, MacOS and Linux with release builds
and the following combinations of CMake options:

- "" (No options)
- -DLLVM_BUILD_LLVM_DYLIB=ON
- -DLLVM_LINK_LLVM_DYLIB=ON
- -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON
- -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON -DLLVM_BUILD_LLVM_DYLIB=ON
- -DBUILD_SHARED_LIBS=ON -DLLVM_LINK_LLVM_DYLIB=ON

289a9cccdc lld, llvm-dlltool, llvm-lib: Use getAsString() instead of getSpelling() for printing unknown args
Since OPT_UNKNOWN args never have any values and consist only of
spelling (and are never aliased), this doesn't make any difference in
practice, but it's more consistent with Arg's guidance to use
getAsString() for diagnostics, and it matches what clang does.

Also tweak two tests to use an unknown option that contains '=' for
additional coverage while here. (The new tests pass fine with the old
code too though.)

ae65e281f3 Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepo
to reflect the new license.

We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.

Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

73cc0e9c2c [COFF] Improve correctness of def parsing for GNU features
The operator == used for exporting a function with a different
name in the DLL compared to the name in the import library
(which is useful for adding linker level aliases for function
in the import library) is a feature distinct and different from
the operator = used for exporting a function with a different
name (both in import library and DLL) than in the implementation
producing the DLL.

When creating an import library using dlltool, from a def file that
contains forwards (Func = OtherDll.Func), this shouldn't affect the
produced import library, which should still behave just as if it
was a normal exported function.

This clears a lot of confusion and subtle misunderstandings, and
avoids a parameter that was used to avoid creating weak aliases
when invoked from lld. (This parameter was added previously due to
the existing conflation of the two features.)

b1da4d515d [COFF] Make the weak aliases optional
When creating an import library from lld, the cases with
Name != ExtName shouldn't end up as a weak alias, but as a real
export of the new name, which is what actually is exported from
the DLL.

This restores the behaviour of renamed exports to what it was in
4.0.

c7b3ee905f [llvm-dlltool] Fix creating stdcall/fastcall import libraries for i386
Hook up the -k option (that in the original GNU dlltool removes the
@n suffix from the symbol that the final executable ends up linked to).

In llvm-dlltool, make sure that functions end up with the undecorate
name type if this option is set and they are decorated. In mingw, when
creating import libraries from def files instead of creating an import
library as a side effect of linking a DLL, the symbol names in the def
contain the stdcall/fastcall decoration (but no leading underscore).

By setting the undecorate name type, a linker linking to the import
library will omit the decoration from the DLL import entry.

With this in place, mingw-w64 for i386 built with llvm-dlltool/clang
produces import libraries that actually work.
