George Karpenkov 0a576bc0e3 Add checkMulAdd helper function to CheckedArithmetic
Multiplication followed by addition
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiply–accumulate_operation) is a
sufficiently common use-case to warrant a separate helper.
