Jagex do not accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies. Therefore please always apply to us directly, or your application may not be considered.
Wherever possible, we encourage our applicants to submit their CV, a carefully constructed covering letter (outlining your suitability for the role based on the person specification) and for some roles, a portfolio of works. Application details will be outlined on the job specification. Please do read carefully as failure to submit all the required information will lead to the application being rejected.
The process will vary for each role, however the standard process is:
Depending on the role, you may also be asked to complete an online test or homework assignment before an interview is arranged.
Due to the extremely high number of applications we receive, it is often impossible to respond to each one. Therefore, as a general rule, if you have not heard from the Recruitment Team within 3 weeks of your application please assume you have been unsuccessful. We do operate a proactive recruitment strategy here at Jagex however, and shall keep your application on file for up to 1 year. If a role becomes available that matches your profile, we will be in touch.
For security reasons, Jagex Ltd do not list their office address. Therefore if you have lost or are unaware of the interview / assessment day details, please immediately contact the recruitment team using the careers@recruit.jagex.com address.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer internships or work experience opportunities. Telecommuting is not available for any position. All roles are based in our offices in Cambridge or London as specified in the job description. Candidates unwilling or unable to relocate or travel to our offices should not apply.
Here at Jagex we pride ourselves on having an open salary structure across almost all of our roles. The salary information will be stated on the job specification and discussed during the interview stages.
The Jagex Recruitment team will not respond to any correspondence regarding our products. All such queries are handled by the relevant Player Support department, available through the appropriate channels.
Unfortunately, due to the need to protect our Intellectual Property, we are unable to offer tours of our offices.
All Jagex products are created internally by our trained staff, therefore we are not able to offer you the opportunity to work for us for free. Such requests will unfortunately be automatically deleted if submitted to the Recruitment team.
The games industry is an incredibly varied sector, with people coming from all walks of life and academic paths. It would be irresponsible therefore to provide general guidance or counselling on which course or degree to study. The only advise we can give is to follow your passion, and work hard on whatever area appeals to you. As a general rule, the more specialist your skills (in for example programming, 3d modelling, animation etc), the more likely you will be to land a job in the Games Industry.
