Software Testing Team Leader

Jagex Ltd, the UK's leading independent online games studio, is looking for an outstanding individual to lead a team of software testers assuring the quality of company websites and software.

Working within our Software Testing Department, you will be responsible for managing a team of software and senior software testers supporting our internal software development teams. With a good working knowledge of Internet technologies and software development processes, you will be expected to support the company's aspirations to excellence with a focus on ensuring the quality and timely delivery of projects.

Key Duties Include:

• Managing projects assigned to the team, updating schedules and tracking the completion dates
• Providing QA support to the Software Testing department
• Reporting project status to the Software Testing Manager
• Mentoring team members and providing feedback on their work
• Fulfilling line management responsibility for the Software Testing department
• Testing software tools and system applications
• Providing constructive and qualitative feedback
• Analysing systems and developing the required tests
• Creating structured test scripts and test plans
• Providing design input to facilitate module testability
• Contributing on a regular basis to improving processes and procedures
• Reviewing non-game web-site content

Essential Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a team lead or line manager
• Understanding of internet technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
• Web / Internet application testing and an understanding of test strategies
• Full software testing lifecycle experience
• Understanding of test strategies, automated testing and compatibility testing
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Professional approach
• Energy, commitment, enthusiasm and a high level of determinationc

Details:

Salary

£25k – £40k + (negotiable, depending on experience), excellent benefits package including annual bonus, private health care and gym membership.

Location

Cambridge. Candidates must be able to work in Cambridge or relocate if offered the position.
