efebba70ef [DebugInfo] Update loop metadata in stripNonLineTableDebugInfo
Summary:
Have stripNonLineTableDebugInfo() attach updated !llvm.loop metadata to
an instruction (instead of updating and then discarding the metadata).

This fixes "!dbg attachment points at wrong subprogram for function"
errors seen while archiving an iOS app.

It would be nice -- as a follow-up -- to catch this issue earlier,
perhaps by modifying the verifier to constrain where DILocations are
allowed. Any alternative suggestions appreciated.

5d044b8420 Fix pr31836 on Windows too, and correctly handle repeated separators.
The approach in D30000 assumes that the '/' returned by path::begin()
is the first element for absolute paths, but that's not true on
Windows.

Also, on Windows backslashes in include lines often end up escaped
so that there are two of them. Having backslashes in include lines
is undefined behavior in most cases and implementation-defined
behavior in C++20, but since clang treats it as normal repeated
path separators, the diagnostic should too.

Unbreaks -Wnonportable-include-path for absolute paths on Windows,
and unbreaks it on non-Windows in the case of absolute paths with
repeated directory separators.

This affects e.g. the `#include __FILE__` technique if the file
passed to clang has the wrong case for the drive letter. Before:

C:\src\llvm-project>bin\clang-cl.exe c:\src\llvm-project\test.cc
c:\\src\\llvm-project\\test.cc(4,10): warning: non-portable path to file
    '"c\\srccllvm-projectctest.cc.'; specified path differs in case from
    file name on disk [-Wnonportable-include-path]
         ^

Now:

C:\src\llvm-project> out\gn\bin\clang-cl c:\src\llvm-project\test.cc
c:\\src\\llvm-project\\test.cc(4,10): warning: non-portable path to file
    '"C:\\src\\llvm-project\\test.cc"'; specified path differs in case from
    file name on disk [-Wnonportable-include-path]
         ^

8c739867e7 Add a facility to get system cache directory and use it in clangd
Summary:
This patch adds a function that is similar to `llvm::sys::path::home_directory`, but provides access to the system cache directory.

For Windows, that is %LOCALAPPDATA%, and applications should put their files under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Organization\Product\.

For *nixes, it adheres to the XDG Base Directory Specification, so it first looks at the XDG_CACHE_HOME environment variable and falls back to ~/.cache/.

Subsequently, the Clangd Index storage leverages this new API to put index files somewhere else than the users home directory.

e2b0533d74 Default raw_string_ostream to be unbuffered
raw_string_ostream can just use the std::string as a buffer. The buffer
requirement came from the days when the minimum buffer size was 128
(fixed in 2015) and std::string was non-SSO. Now we can just use the
inline capacity for small things and on a good growth strategy later.

This assumes that the standard library isn't doing something bad like
only growing to the exact size. I checked some common implementations
and they grow by 2x (libc++) or 1.5x (msvc) which is reasonable. We
should still check if this incurs any performance regressions though.

6a9013112e [AArch64] Define ACLE FP conversion intrinsics with more specific predicate.
This patch changes the FP conversion intrinsics to take a predicate
that matches the number of lanes for the vector with the widest element

```<vscale x 4 x float> @llvm.aarch64.sve.fcvt.f32f16(<vscale x 4 x float>, <vscale x 4 x i1>, <vscale x 8 x half>)```
now uses <vscale x 4 x i1> instead of <vscale x 16 x i1>
And similar for:
```<vscale x 4 x float> @llvm.aarch64.sve.fcvt.f32f64(<vscale x 4 x float>, <vscale x 2 x i1>, <vscale x 2 x double>)```
where the predicate now matches the wider type, so <vscale x 2 x i1>.

4e52ec5b13 [DWARFDebugLine] Check for errors when parsing v2 file/dir lists
Summary:
Without this we could silently accept an invalid prologue because the
default DataExtractor behavior is to return an empty string when
reaching the end of file. And empty string is also used to terminate
these lists.

This makes the parsing code slightly more complicated, but this
complexity will go away once the parser starts working with truncating
data extractors. The reason I am doing it this way is because without
this, the truncation would regress the quality of error messages (right
now, we produce bad error messages only near EOF, but truncation would
make everything behave as if it was near EOF).

Pavel Labath
3b6fda8c6b [DWARFDataExtractor] Add a "truncating" constructor
Summary:
This constructor allows us to create a new DWARFDataExtractor which will
only present a subrange of an entire debug section. Since debug sections
typically consist of multiple contributions, it is expected that one
will create a new data extractor for each contribution in order to
avoid unexpectedly running off into the next one.

This is very useful for unifying the flows for detecting parse errors.
Without it, the code needs to consider two very different scenarios:
1. If there is another contribution after the current one, the
   DataExtractor functions will just start reading from there. This is
   detectable by comparing the current offset against the known
   end-of-contribution offset.
2. If this is the last contribution, the data extractor will just start
   returning zeroes (or other default values). This situation can *not*
   be detected by checking the parsing offset, as this will not be
   advanced in case of errors.

Using a truncated data extractor simplifies the code (and reduces
cognitive load) by making these two cases behave identically -- a
running off the end of a contribution will _always_ produce an EOF error
(if one uses error-aware parsing methods) or return default values.

i believe that it is worth trading +1.8% peak memory use for -1.1% compile time.
also this patch removes waymarking which simplifies the Use and User classes.

f21a7a86a2 [CommandLine] Fix cl::ConsumeAfter support with more than one positional argument
Summary:
Currently, cl::ConsumeAfter only works for the case that has exactly one
positional argument. Without the fix, it skip fulfilling first positional
argument and put that additional positional argument in interpreter arguments.
