b87a61b44f [AArch64] Lower READCYCLECOUNTER using MRS PMCCTNR_EL0.
This matches the ARM behavior. In both cases, the register is part
of the optional Performance Monitors extension, so, add the feature,
and enable it for the A-class processors we support.

c1ecb014d8 [AArch64] Define subtarget feature strict-align.
This commit defines subtarget feature strict-align and uses it instead of
cl::opt -aarch64-strict-align to decide whether strict alignment should be
forced.

70eb2824e6 [AArch64] Define subtarget feature "reserve-x18", which is used to decide
whether register x18 should be reserved.

This change is needed because we cannot use a backend option to set
cl::opt "aarch64-reserve-x18" when doing LTO.

Out-of-tree projects currently using cl::opt option "-aarch64-reserve-x18"
to reserve x18 should make changes to add subtarget feature "reserve-x18"
to the IR.

520cdd942a [AArch64] Rename v8.1a from "extension" to "architecture"
v8.1a is renamed to architecture, accordingly to approaches in ARM backend.

Excess generic cpu is removed. Intended use: "generic" cpu with "v8.1a" subtarget feature

6a2e278ec7 [MCInstPrinter] Enable MCInstPrinter to change its behavior based on the
per-function subtarget.

Currently, code-gen passes the default or generic subtarget to the constructors
of MCInstPrinter subclasses (see LLVMTargetMachine::addPassesToEmitFile), which
enables some targets (AArch64, ARM, and X86) to change their instprinter's
behavior based on the subtarget feature bits. Since the backend can now use
different subtargets for each function, instprinter has to be changed to use the
per-function subtarget rather than the default subtarget.

This patch takes the first step towards enabling instprinter to change its
behavior based on the per-function subtarget. It adds a bit "PassSubtarget" to
AsmWriter which tells table-gen to pass a reference to MCSubtargetInfo to the
various print methods table-gen auto-generates.

I will follow up with changes to instprinters of AArch64, ARM, and X86.

0bf68985f6 Adding support to LLVM for targeting Cortex-A72
Currently, Cortex-A72 is modelled as an Cortex-A57 except the fp
load balancing pass isn't enabled for Cortex-A72 as it's not
profitable to have it enabled for this core.

ca0f4dc4f0 AArch64/ARM64: move ARM64 into AArch64's place
This commit starts with a "git mv ARM64 AArch64" and continues out
from there, renaming the C++ classes, intrinsics, and other
target-local objects for consistency.

"ARM64" test directories are also moved, and tests that began their
life in ARM64 use an arm64 triple, those from AArch64 use an aarch64
triple. Both should be equivalent though.

This finishes the AArch64 merge, and everyone should feel free to
continue committing as normal now.

d7f173214f AArch64/ARM64: remove AArch64 from tree prior to renaming ARM64.
I'm doing this in two phases for a better "git blame" record. This
commit removes the previous AArch64 backend and redirects all
functionality to ARM64. It also deduplicates test-lines and removes
orphaned AArch64 tests.

The next step will be "git mv ARM64 AArch64" and rewire most of the
tests.

Hopefully LLVM is still functional, though it would be even better if
no-one ever had to care because the rename happens straight
afterwards.

e19a5dc534 AArch64: error when both positional & named operands are used.
Only one instruction pair needed changing: SMULH & UMULH. The previous
code worked, but MC was doing extra work treating Ra as a valid
operand (which then got completely overwritten in MCCodeEmitter).

No behaviour change, so no tests.

6c9595d931 [AArch64] This is a work in progress to provide a machine description
for the Cortex-A53 subtarget in the AArch64 backend.

This patch lays the ground work to annotate each AArch64 instruction
(no NEON yet) with a list of SchedReadWrite types. The patch also
provides the Cortex-A53 processor resources, maps those the the default
SchedReadWrites, and provides basic latency. NEON support will be added
in a subsequent patch with proper forwarding logic.

Verification was done by setting the pre-RA scheduler to linearize to
better gauge the effect of the MIScheduler. Even without modeling the
forward logic, the results show a modest improvement for Cortex-A53.

e2b0519ed8 Add AArch64 as an experimental target.
This patch adds support for AArch64 (ARM's 64-bit architecture) to
LLVM in the "experimental" category. Currently, it won't be built
unless requested explicitly.

This initial commit should have support for:
    + Assembly of all scalar (i.e. non-NEON, non-Crypto) instructions
(except the late addition CRC instructions).
+ CodeGen features required for C++03 and C99.
+ Compilation for the "small" memory model: code+static data <
      4GB.
    + Absolute and position-independent code.
    + GNU-style (i.e. "__thread") TLS.
    + Debugging information.

The principal omission, currently, is performance tuning.

This patch excludes the NEON support also reviewed due to an outbreak of
batshit insanity in our legal department. That will be committed soon bringing
the changes to precisely what has been approved.

Further reviews would be gratefully received.
